 VELVET RAZOR Enigmatic and eclectic, their musical style and taste harks back to an earlier time. A time when music had lyrics, intelligence, structure and style. Celebrating an era when rock music was something of stature. When screaming vocals, blistering lead guitar breaks, tasteful funky rock bass guitar lines, intricate piano and keyboard lines and hard hitting drummers and cool rock music really meant something. We are a band that loves to groove. Our influences are Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Who, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Marillion, Deep Purple, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, The Cult, Velvet Underground, The Stranglers, The Damned (and many others to numerous to list) playing at many live music venues. Playing thriving jam packed gigs where everyone is welcome, featuring a wide range of musical styles from rock, funk, blues, indie, Rhythm 'n' Blues and soul with a bit of reggae, jazz, and pop in the mix. Velvet Razor are THE musos band, they are a great band of musicians, but you don't have to be a player or a muso to enjoy them. Velvet Razor have worked supporting some houshold names and worked along with bands who have/are just starting up and looking for bands to support in order to get their first live playing experience where they can meet other musicians and get to know Velvet Razor's friendly and enthusiastic audience following.
